The Lions Beach Shipwreck is more precisely 2 tugboat wrecks that lie next to each other at a depth of approx. 50 meters. The ships sank on top of the reef edge and then slid down the slope. The trench that was created can still be clearly seen. At the top are the propellers that have been torn off. You can have the Lion Beach diving club take you there by boat or snorkel there […]

At Bocca Junni there is a parking lot, you can enter the small harbor basin directly and then to the left (east) explore the reef edge. In the upper area at approx. 5 meters, rails from old lorries are laid. Very nice reef with lots of fish.
The Double Reef got its name because after the land side reef edge there is a deep sandy gorge about 30 meters wide, after which a reef rises again. This outer reef is particularly interesting. This reef is between 15 and 25 meters deep and there are always turtles resting. From the entrance, it is recommended to cross the sand ditch directly at a depth of approx. 15 meters and then dive to the east […]
At the Marie Pampoen spot there are cars, trucks and construction cranes at a depth of 10-50 meters. An attempt was made to create an artificial reef. You can park in the parking lot by the Seaside Terrace Restaurant. There is a toilet in the restaurant and there is also a diving school (Twindivers Curacao). You can get on in the small port. It goes on the surface to the left approximately to the extension […]
San Juan – Playa Largu is a beautiful, very secluded spot with a slightly steep reef edge. It is best to park as far to the right as possible (do not drive too far, the ground will be sandy) and dive there. Playa Largu can be reached via Landhaus San Juan, where a fee of 10 NAF per vehicle is due. The gravel road is partly steep and rough, an off-road vehicle is recommended. After […]
In the remote bay of Playa Daiboi there is a beautiful beach and a diving school (Divers Republic). Toilets and showers and a small snack are available. The bay is protected so that there are fewer waves and less current. It is a little further to the reef edge. Both directions are very nice. With the right current (mostly from west to east) you could dive here from the next bay (Playa Porto Marie). From […]
Directors Bay is a dive site with a steep reef edge and lots of soft corals. You can park on the street and then walk straight to the beach. There are a few seats with sun protection. Otherwise there is no infrastructure. A couple of posts are out of the water, that’s where the reef edge is. You don’t have to snorkel, the reef drops right off the bank. To the left you go over […]
Probably one of the best spots in Curacao. Unbelievable number of soft and hard corals, chance of turtles. The diving depth is in the range between 10 and 15 meters. There can be a current. Theoretically one could take an adventurous path from land, but it is worth doing a boat dive, e.g. with Go West Diving, which is only 5 minutes away by boat.
We were there by boat … nice dive site. The Blue Room Cave is close by, also accessible from the shore.
The two spots “Porto Marie” (not to be confused with the Porto Marie in the next bay) and “Habitat” are located in the Coral Estate on Rif St. Marie. This can be reached via the village of Willibrordus. Then indicate at the barrier that you want to go to the Coral Divers diving school. There you have to pay “entrance”, i.e. sign up and take a bottle. The reef starts just after the beach and […]
Kleine Knip is a small secluded bay on a beautiful beach. There are a few lounge chairs and sometimes a mobile takeout. The reef is a bit away (about 100m) and then gently sloping.
The Superior Producer is a large, well-preserved wreck at a depth of 40 meters. Getting started is problematic. On the one hand it is not allowed to dive when ships have docked, on the other hand there is often strong surf. Entry is therefore rarely possible. You drive the governor van Slobbewegung to the end of a small brook to the sea. In there and fight diagonally to the left (approx. 30 degrees to the […]
The Tugboat is a small boat that is about 5 meters deep and is also very popular with snorkelers. The dive site is next to the Caracasbaai. You pass Fort Beekenburg, then you can already see a huge drilling ship that is firmly anchored there. You can park on the street next to a small bar (not guarded) and change your clothes there. A small diving school (CURious 2 DIVE) is on site. You can […]
Playa Kalki or “Alice in Wonderland” is a very nice destination for a day trip. It goes from the parking lot (unfortunately not too many places available) down a staircase to the shady restaurant and the wonderful sandy beach. On the left is the Go West Diving diving school with a jetty. Diving boats also often leave here. You can of course dive for free from the beach, but it is advisable to get a […]
Playa Grandi is a small fishing port in a beautiful bay. You can park right by the sea, there is a small snack stand and a toilet. The special thing here is that there are almost guaranteed to be turtles in the water (right in the shallower area in front of the reef). They are waiting for fish waste from the boats. The best time is around 8-9 a.m. after the boats come back from […]
