




The Tugboat is a small boat that is about 5 meters deep and is also very popular with snorkelers. The dive site is next to the Caracasbaai. You pass Fort Beekenburg, then you can already see a huge drilling ship that is firmly anchored there. You can park on the street next to a small bar (not guarded) and change your clothes there. A small diving school (CURious 2 DIVE) is on site. You can borrow bottles and equipment there.
The tugboat itself is located slightly to the left at the end of the beach basin near huge bollers, to which the drilling ship is tied with huge chains. There are a lot of tropical fish there, it’s worth it.
Further to the sea, the reef drops very steeply after 40-60 meters. The wall is covered with soft corals and is also worth seeing. To the left you can dive directly to the next dive site, Directors Bay – but the other direction is recommended because of the air: From Directors Bay to the right to Tugboat Beach.
Supposedly you can dive IN the drilling ship under water – I will have to go there again to look …
