In the village of Willibrordus around the church, the access to Playa Porto Marie is signposted. Once there, you can drive in front of the diving school and unload there. The facilities of the Portomarisports diving school can be used free of charge. There is no need to haul bottles around, as they only cost 9 USD on site. For entry to the beach you have to pay 5 NAF per person. The dive site itself is a kind of basin with 2 reefs, hence the name “The Valley”. A simple route (the depth can be chosen between 10 and 25 meters) is always along the edge of the basin, you have to cross a ditch. The trench leads to the outer reef and also goes deeper. In the flat area there are some artificial structures, here you can find all kinds of fish. Ideal for the safety stop. It’s wonderful to relax here, the restaurant is great.
