Kokomo Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches with a great restaurant. There are plenty of parking spaces and there is a diving school (Trunkdivers) on site. There are several options for diving.
On the one hand you can dive right on the reef, both directions are recommended. It goes past a swimming platform and then along a thick rope as a marker (the reef is a good 100 meters away, it takes a while …) to the reef that slopes downwards after about 40 meters. There is a shark straight ahead at a depth of about 25 meters. On the right in approx. 20-25 meters there is a pontoon after approx. 10 minutes. There are often barracudas here.
The other dive site is the so called Car Pile on the right side of the beach. There are many old car wrecks at a depth of about 30-50 meters (a transport ship has sunk there). The end of the wreck field is marked by a buoy, which Kokomobeach is also best used to swim to on the surface (this takes about 15 minutes). Then a few more minutes on the surface parallel to the beach and only then a free water descent (to save air). Plan enough air for the return trip on this dive.
